9780399156816.jpgPenguin Group (USA) has three debuts on the New York Times bestseller lists for the week of September 5th: The Cobra by Frederick Forsyth (Putnam) and Crossfire by Dick Francis and Felix Francis (Putnam) debut at #4 and #11, respectively on the hardcover fiction list; and Scumble by Ingrid Law (Dial) debuts at #9 on the children's chapter book list.

Here are more New York Times bestseller highlights:

On the hardcover fiction list, The Help by Kathryn Stockett (Amy Einhorn/Putnam) is #3 in its 73rd week; The Rembrandt Affair by Daniel Silva (Putnam) is #10 in its fifth week; The Vigilantes by W.E.B. Griffin and Willem E. Butterworth IV (Putnam) is #13 in its second week.

On the hardcover nonfiction list, Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert (Viking) is #2 in its eleventh week; and The Murder Room by Michael Capuzzo (Gotham) is #12 in its second week.

On the mass market paperback list, World Without End by Ken Follett (Signet) is #9 in its fourth week; Water Bound by Christine Feehan (Jove) is #10 in its fourth week; Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris (Ace) is #12 in its eighteenth week; The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett (Signet) is #13 in its 25th week; Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris (Ace) is #14 in its 49th week; and Fantasy in Death by J.D. Robb (Berkley) is #17 in its fourth week.

On the paperback nonfiction list, Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert (Penguin) remains at #1 in its 185th week; Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin (Penguin) is #2 in its 186th week; and The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan (Penguin) is #13 in its 142nd week.

On the paperback advice, how-to and miscellaneous list, Food Rules by Michael Pollan (Penguin) is #3 in its 34th week.

In the young readers sector, on the children's picture books list, Lego Star Wars by Simon Beecroft (DK) is #1 in its 35th week; Ladybug Girl at the Beach by David Soman and Jacky Davis (Dial) is #5 in its fourteenth week; and The Junkyard Wonders written and illustrated by Patricia Polacco (Philomel) is #9 in its third week. On the children's chapter book list, Hot X by Danica McKellar (Hudson Street Press) is #7 in its third week.
